My journey began in youth residential care supporting children and young people who were handed lives they didn’t ask for. That chapter taught me something powerful: when you take the time to listen, to be present, and to lead with empathy, you can change lives. That belief every person deserves to be seen, heard, and supported with dignity became the foundation of how I work.

When I stepped into the disability space, it felt like everything aligned. I knew this was where I belonged.

At Mitchell & McCallum, Get Dignity First Care, I don’t lead from the front or push from behind. I walk beside the people I support. I help build their networks, boost their confidence, and support their access to meaningful, fulfilling lives. And I do it all with laughter, warmth, and genuine care.

That’s why I created a service that fills the gaps too many others ignore. A service grounded in real-life experience, professional excellence, and deep human values.

Too often in this industry, I’ve seen agencies cut corners, place untrained staff in complex roles, and leave participants without real support. That’s not what I stand for.

Every single team member my Superstars has been hand-picked by me personally. I don’t compromise on quality. These incredible people are purpose-driven, highly skilled, and chosen because they share my values of empathy, integrity, and professionalism.

You’ll notice something different about my team straight away. Their uniforms include embedded QR codes simple, powerful way to promote transparency and accountability. Anyone can scan the code to give feedback, learn more about who we are, or connect directly with my office. This puts a voice directly in the hands of participants and their families, which is exactly where it belongs.

I also enforce a strict no-phone policy during support shifts because when my team is with a participant, I expect them to be fully present. It’s a standard they’ve embraced fully, because it’s the right thing to do.

My commitment to excellence is reflected not just in what I say, but how I operate. I’ve built this service in full alignment with the NDIS Practice Standards, Disability Act, Mental Health Act, and all relevant legislation and ethical frameworks.

I’m here to set a new benchmark. To raise the standard. To deliver care that’s not just compliant, but compassionate, professional, and impactful.
